Generator Building, the iconic red brick and stone building by St Philips Bridge at Finzels Reach is set to become co-working space after contracts were exchanged on its sale.

Designed to make the most of the views across the harbour, the space at The Generator Building will include 30,611 sq ft (2,844 m2) of offices over six floors, for up to 300 people.

Extensive renovations will be carried out to the Grade II listed building, with repairs to the limestone ashlar stonework and dramatic windows, to bring the exterior back to its former glory. Interior finishes, including exposed feature brickwork, will complement the fabric of the building.

The new owner for Bristol’s historic Generator Building plans to bring this unique architectural gem back into use as a co-working space, meeting the growing demand from small and fast-growing companies for flexible offices and bringing a new dimension to the mixed community here. Those who work in the new space will be able to benefit from being part of Finzels Reach, a flourishing new neighbourhood in the medieval heart of the city.

Generator Building is ideally located less than a 10-minute walk from Temple Meads station, whilst Castle Bridge provides easy access to the popular shopping areas of Cabot Circus, Quakers Friars and St Nicholas Market. It is close to an array of bus routes and ferries can be boarded from nearby Castle Park.
